Skiing & Winter Sports
A short drive from Okanagan Falls will take you to one of the hidden gems of Canadian skiing. Apex Mountain offers fun for the entire family with additional amenities like the tube park, ice climbing, a 1 km skating loop and a quaint village centre.
Facilities at Apex include an aerial and mogul site of such high calibre that the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association has named it - the national training centre for aerial competitors. Apex has hosted FIS Freestyle World Cup Competitions, NORAM Super G and Mars Cup Downhill and Super G races.
Apex Mountain Resort and Village offers quality snow, great weather, and incredible terrain. The resort operates four lifts to take skiers of all skill levels to 67 trails including a World Cup aerial site and mogul course. The average temperature on the hill is a mild -4 degrees Celsius and about 600 cm of dry Okanagan powder falls each season.
Immediately adjacent to Apex Mountain, the Nickel Plate Nordic Centre provides exceptional cross country skiing, snow shoeing and Snowmobiling opportunities.
